Flights are now operating non-stop from select cities, and more flights are being added to the fall as restrictions are expected to lift.
Important Immigration Note
Hold onto the bottom portion of your immigration card after you go through customs, its just a slip of paper, they will probably forget to tell you when they hand back your passport on arrival so just tuck it into your passports and keep it safe.
The Mexican government won't let you leave the country without this stamped piece of paper and will require you to pay a cash fine at the time of departure if you lose it and can often take an extra 30minutes or longer to sort out before you can check in for your flight.
ROADS & CAR RENTALS
For easy exit from the airport we recommend pre-booking your car rental online and their shuttle will be at the front door waiting for you.
If you book with a 3rd party like Expedia, Costco Travel, etc the car insurance offered through these 3rd party websites IS NOT VALID even though they will sell it to you.
You will then be required to buy another insurance when you go to pick up the vehicle. You are required to purchase insurance directly from the car rental agency you are renting from or pay a hefty deposit so it’s generally easier to book directly on the website of Cactus Car, National Car Rental or your other preferred agency. Most major brands have an office here.
We recommend a 4x4 SUV if you want to go to any of the beach bars or remote beaches or excursions including the beach on the other side of the hill from our villas. If you are just doing the main road into Cerritos and Todos Santos then you can do fine with a regular car.
ROADS:
The Car Rental Center will give you a local Cabo Map to show you the main stores for Chedraui, Agricole (Groceries) as well as Costco. From the Airport you will be on a brand new 4 lane divided highway.
TOLL BOOTH - there is a Toll Booth on the highway upon leaving the airport YOU MUST HAVE CASH. It’s about $2.50USD or bring Pesos if you have them.
After you travel on the Highway for about 45 minutes, you’ll approach Cerritos Beach on the Left.
It is a Dirt Road from the highway, marked with a few mini signs for restaurants and a few poles wrapped in candy cane stripped flagger tape. There is no giant Cerritos sign but you will see our yellow Villas from the highway as one big cluster by the beach.

COVID-19 TESTING & INFO
Check the current flight requirements for your trip. In many cases travellers must still get a Covid-19 rapid test before their departing flight from Mexico to return home. These tests are available as follows:
Tests available at SJD airport, travellers must arrive a minimum of 3 hours ahead of their scheduled departure to perform the test and receive results
Schedule an appointment at St Judes Medical Centre in Todos Santos, they will provide the test results by email.
